I met and Angel and she was holding my hand.

I love the song from Alabama, “There are angels among us.” I feel so much gratitude to work with angels in the energy work I do. Yet there is a powerful moment an angel shows themselves to us in their human form.

During a Reiki session last week, I was guided to place my hands on the back of my client. I could see in my mind’s eye this person’s angel wings being reattached to her human form.

The message I heard to share with her. “She is an angel and always has been, remind her. She is reconnecting with angel family on the other side.” In our conversation after the session, she asked, “What does this mean, and why and how?” She did not feel like an angel after the abuse and trauma she had experienced in this life.

The answer was in knowing she had chosen to come into this difficult human life so she could learn and be more helpful with the knowledge and understanding of the pain of human choices. Her gratitude was visible on her face, and she expressed it in her words while doing the work to release what no longer served her highest purpose.

We talked on, with a smile on her face and a calming peace filling the room. I asked if I could share a story of meeting an angel a few years ago. She said yes and was eager to learn and understand more. I gently shared the story below, reminding her that when an angel is a child, that child will grow up into adulthood. The angel inside never goes away, although it might become quiet for a while.

Love and Blessings to each of you!

Your angels are with you always… All you need to do is ask, and they are here to assist you.

I Met an Angel, and She is Holding My Hand

I met an angel on the full moon; it was the Hunter’s moon in October as we gathered at a friend’s home. Coming together in friendship, to celebrate the full moon’s energy with meditation and releasing the old by burning of intentions no longer needed to open space in our lives for more positive to enter our lives.

There were six of us, five adults and Lila the 3-year-old daughter of a friend of a friend as we walked out to sit in the medicine wheel. The night was early, yet the sky was already dark as the autumn had arrived and the daylight had shortened.

I had arrived early to meditate and clear the space, asking for help and guidance from our angels and guides for all who were to attend that evening. This was my first fire ceremony, and I was a little nervous. I had written my personal intentions the night before so I could focus on the others there and lead a positive gathering for all.

We all sat on our blankets. I gave a brief introduction to the full moon energy and then led a clearing and release meditation to relax and open up our heart space while letting go of the day’s stresses…

We stood and gathered in a circle around the fire, burning each of our intentions. Each person took their time to speak aloud or silent their intentions and released them up to Mother/Father God, Universal Spirit.

We stood around the fire silently waiting for the flames to extinguish. When Lila slowly reached over to me and took my hand, I could see this happening as if in slow motion. It was a movement to reach out and connect, and somewhere deep inside me I knew this was more than just a three-year-old holding my hand.

We all stood silently for a few minutes, when Lila became playful, swinging back and forth, leaning over towards the fire and then flopping backwards as her mom and I held her hands. Giggling with pure trust and beauty, she did this repeatedly, knowing we held her safe. Or so we all thought when she simply let go of both of our hands and flopped backwards on the ground giggling. She got up and grabbed our hands again and went forward and back again so quickly her mom and I both had to hold on to her with two hands to keep her from falling again… Or so we thought. I was amazed. I knew we were both holding onto her, so she could have fallen if we let go, and I thought we had her?

The small fire went out, and the group headed indoors for food and community. I stayed in the circle, closing up the energy space, thanking all our angels and guides for their guidance and assistance in this sacred space.

As I entered my friend’s home, I walked down the hallway. Lila came out to me and spoke so softly in a voice beyond her years. “I was holding your hand.” I bent over, face to face. “Yes, you were” and as I gazed into her eyes, I could see her angel spirit in this golden blond three-year-old body. She had given me access to see her genuine spirit.

I am not exactly sure how to describe this moment or the energy I could feel and see. I can only say it was pure white, angelic light. For she was speaking Truth, I was not holding her hand she had been holding mine! As she repeated, she showed me her pure white angel spirit glowing, revealing her true self. I was filled with absolute love. “I was holding your hand.”

The moment was only seconds yet it also felt like a lifetime flashed by, before she quickly went back to her three-year-old human body giggling as she ate carrots and scribbled with pen to paper. What amazing beauty and energy she is bringing into this world, I thought as I sat down and joined in on the merriment…

The following day while walking with my friend, I shared with her how Lila had shown me her true self in the hallway the night before. My friend shared how a couple of weeks before Lila had drawn a picture and gave it to her mother who asked Lila what did you draw and Lila explained it was her mother’s birthday party a long time ago and Lila had been her grandmother in that lifetime….

I feel blessed to be in this time where the sacred veil is opening for more people and higher energies and spirits are coming in unafraid to show and be themselves.

It is now three years later, and I am still feeling blessed to have been part of this amazing experience, and so many more ….

I met an angel, and she showed me who she is, reminding me, “She is holding my hand!”
